NSDL File Validation Utility 2.126
|
| |
13 April 2009, NSDL TIN division has released the new file validation utility version 2.126. The new File validation utility is mandatory to be used for returns filed after 13 April 2009.
FVU 2.126 comes with following changes:
- BSR Code mentioned in
challan details should be
valid one (i.e. it must be
present in BSR Code
Master), if invalid BSR
Code is present in file,
FVU will generate
warning file containing
details of only invalid BSR
Codes.
- PAN of deductor and its
underlying deductees
should not be the same, if
same PAN for both
deductor and deductee is
present in file, FVU will
generate warning file
containing details of
those records where the
deductor and deductee
PAN is same.
With these changes, NSDL has updated the FVU as well as SAM [Statement Acceptance Module] at TIN FC from 13/04/2009. So, any returns being filed after this date should be generated through FVU 2.126 only [Saral TDS Version 9.02 (9.50) or above].
Note that, this FVU has no relevance with filing 2009-10 returns including Form 24C. A new FVU for 2009-10 is expected by May-June - 2009.
